Trash Haul: Ishida Shinya will find stuff to wheel through Bangkok

Japanese artist Ishida Shinya will spend two months looking for stuff. He’ll interact with people and seek the “invisible force” which leads those interactions to more stuff. Then he’ll take that stuff, mount it on some wheels and haul it through the streets to Speedy Grandma for an exhibition.

“As Bangkok was a major influence in shaping much of Ishida’s current works, Ishida is very interested in how his work … will appear to the people of Bangkok, and has come to think of this as a challenge he must accept,” reads the gallery’s notice.

Challenge accepted, as Ishida’s work will arrive to the Bang Rak district gallery at 7:30 pm on Dec. 13.
