Does Thailand truly beat Japan in weird game shows, or is Buzzfeed just good at exaggerating how extreme they are?
It’s that time of the month when Buzzfeed staff turn their wacky neuroses to Thailand, this time to comment on our television game shows, comments which mostly consist of “OMG” or “WTF?”
After taking a look at Thai snacks and chips, the ironic American discuss a series a clips from TV shows like “Killer Karaoke,” “Classroom Genius” and “Sunshine Day,” the first two of which are not particularly well-known by Thais.
One thing the Buzzfeeders seem clueless about is that Killer Karaoke actually originated from a American program hosted by Steve-O, the guy famous for doing stupid shit on Jackass.
Like any other “Americans try X for the first time,” most comments are along the lines of “Is that a Thailand thing? When guys wear pink?” or “Is that dinosaur shit?”
If you’re really curious how Buzzfeeders feel about our weird game shows, it’s definitely worth it to watch and laugh with – or at – them.
