Two Americans accused of stealing baby body parts and other human remains from the Siriraj Medical Museum have resurfaced seven months after fleeing Thailand.
Ryen McPherson, one of two fugitives who escaped to Cambodia in November after being caught trying to ship dead baby parts, human skin and a heart reported stolen from the museum, appears back in business in Las Vegas, Nevada and has restarted his original “Bumfights” production studio.

McPherson and his partner Daniel Tanner kept a low profile after fleeing Thailand, which then sought help from Interpol in arresting them on suspicion of stealing the human remains and attempting to ship them back to the United States.
McPherson’s “Indecline” studio, which invited infamy a decade ago for paying homeless people to fight each other, recently returned and posted a video by McPherson earlier this month on “culture-jamming” billboard vandals. Tanner’s involvement is unclear.
Last month he was also involved in a large graffiti project he promoted with Google’s Earth blog.
After McPherson went to ground, his Las Vegas-based production house Shoot to Kill Media also vanished, only to resurface with a new name. Now called “Critical Focus,” it is described as a “full-service commercial and music-video production company,” according to its site.
Perhaps being linked to the theft of dead baby parts wasn’t so great for business.
Inquiries sent to Indecline and Critical Focus were not returned by publication time, but an inquiry left on its Facebook page was quickly removed.
McPherson and Tanner were detained by police after trying to send a baby’s head, baby’s right foot, sheets of tattooed human skin and a murder victim’s heart from a DHL shop located at BTS National Stadium.
They told police they’d bought them from a night market somewhere in the capital. They were released after about four hours of questioning and immediately left the country by land.
Siriraj Hospital’s Medical Museum soon reported several items stolen, and sure enough, CCTV footage soon emerged of the pair entering and leaving with large backpacks, one day after they had entered the country.
