Bangkok sakura: Best time of year to visit Chatuchak, Suan Rot Fai parks (PHOTOS)

Instead of heading to Tokyo or Seoul to witness the famous cherry blossom in full bloom this summer, why not stay in the city and experience Bangkok’s very own sakura.

If you travel along Phaholyothin Road, you will notice rows of Tabebuia trees full of pink flowers — arguably one of the few things people can appreciate outdoors in this scorching weather.

Visitors to the Tabebuia trees tend to take a few photos on their phones and apply a filter to tone them, making it look like the photos were taken in Japan.

Check out the beautiful photos of the Tabebuia trees in full bloom taken by Pantip user Sister_Egg below.

The best locations to view the trees are Chatuchak and Suan Rot Fai parks, both accessible by BTS.

Enjoy it while it lasts!
