A THB300 million renovation of the capital’s seat of power has been plagued by mischievous spirits.
Work resumed this week after being halted at the Government House after a number of people reported paranormal activity at the infamously haunted offices of the erstwhile civilian prime minister.
“I was so scared that I had goosebumps,” an unidentified army officer told Khaosod, adding that he had smelled a ghost’s “ancient perfume” while moving furniture Friday.
Work stopped and officials organized a ritual to satisfy the restless spooks who are known to dwell within. The officials told the spectral residents that they were just beautifying the historic building.
